It was the last meeting for three members of the Vestry
on January 8. The three year terms of Joanne Marino, Lois Johnson and Jabbo Gordon expired
with the January 31 Annual Meeting.
With the arrival of three new members to supplement the nine cadre, there will be some
reassignment as far as commissions. Father Jim discussed the possibility of incorporating
a new member committee under the Outreach Commission.
Dick Wernick announced that a gazebo has been delivered
to the Memory Garden.
Father Jim reported that Gary Bradshaw has accepted the
challenging task as Chairman of the Building Committee.
The new building project is progressing well and the
church is waiting for proposals from four banks on the financing. Meanwhile Father Jim is
preparing the paperwork which the Diocese requires.
Nativity had requested a grant from Church of the Redeemer, but action was postponed until
a later date.
The barometer sign in the hall that shows the progress of our Capital Fund Drive will be
updated quarterly.
Ed and Edie Phillips will be greeters at the 8:30
service on the fourth Sundays .
Deb Teahan said that new Winners Dinners groups are
being formed to accommodate the Snow Angels who have arrived from the frozen tundra.
Lois Johnson reminded everyone that we need more
volunteers for the coffee hours.
An Alpha program will begin February 7. As of the date
of the Vestry meeting, 18 people had signed up to participate.
The next Vestry meeting will be February 12, beginning
at 7:00 p.m.
