To: All parishioners, friends, and neighbors
From: Your Nativity Vestry
August 2003
We are greatly saddened by the recent actions taken at the General Convention of
Bishops and Delegates. Our Church of the Nativity will not change. It will remain a
beautiful Bible-based church, always seeking the truth from the Word of God. Our faith,
our words, our actions, our prayers, our worship, our teaching, our welcoming, our
friendliness will never change.
We will continue to always welcome everyone who comes through our doors. We will never
exclude anyone from our church who seeks God, whose soul is troubled, or who seeks
fellowship and spiritual nourishment.
We know our Lord and saviour Jesus Christ died for us for the forgiveness of our sins.
All who profess His name are children of God. "The old has gone, the new has
come." (2 Corinthians 5:17).
This is the beautiful way it is and will always be at Nativity. We are all created in
His image. We all want to walk in His light and truth. We will never do anything that
would cause us to move away from His word the Bible, the Word of God.
Please, at these difficult times for the Episcopal church, come to worship and pray at
Nativity, where Gods grace and peace can be found, and where joy and happiness
abound.
We all need each others fellowhsip and support, now more than ever. We know when
we come together at Nativity in Jesus name that He will dwell with us to love,
guide, and care for each and every one.
In Jesus name we pray ... Amen.
