2002 Vacation Bible School "Brave
Believers"
June 9 to June 13, 6:00pm to 8:15pm
A joint program with Northminster and Nativity. This is an intergenerational VBS. Our
theme is "The Olympics." We will light the torch on June 9 at 6:00pm! Come and
add your flame to our torch. Come and see our Race of Faith Stadium. See who is on our
Wall of Fame. Chat with our coaches in coaches corner. Don't forget to stop by souvenir
central.
Everyone is invited to attend. The evenings will start with supper.
Many exciting events are planned for all. Adult Bible study will be held each night. A
signup sheet is posted on children's corner bulletin board. Registration forms will be
available. We hope all of you will be called to join us in PRAISE TO THE LORD! Remember,
"When you keep your eyes on Jesus, being courageous is contagious!"

2001 Vacation Bible School "Polar
Expedition"
Approximately 25 kids of all ages from Nativity participated in this year's Vacation
Bible School held at Northminster Presbyterian Church. God's plan certainly worked out
well for all of us. Everyone had so much fun praying, singing, praising, and, of course,
eating.
Northminster welcomed us with open arms; we all felt right at home. We thank them so
much for allowing us to share this opportunity with them. Nativity members all thought
that this was such a wonderful idea to do VBS in the early evening so that members of all
ages can attend. Look for us to do it again next year in our new building!
A special thanks to Bonnie Neiger for coordinating the whole event for Nativity and to
all others who volunteered to serve as leaders and helpers including Deacon Jan, Joanne
Marino, Judi McCullough, Sharon Simington, Evan Simington, Susan & Gary Bradshaw and
Will Neiger.

2001 Vacation Bible School
God has provided
our Church family with a wonderful opportunity to share a Vacation Bible School experience
with the Church family of Northminster Presbyterian Church. Northminster Presbyterian
Church is located across Lockwood Ridge Road from Church of the Nativity.
Due to the pending construction of
our new Sanctuary and the renovation work on our present building, we felt it would not be
feasible for us to have a Vacation Bible School this year. God, however, had other plans!
The wonderful people of Northminster have invited us to join with them for this program.
It will be a very special intergenerational program of fellowship and the study of God's
Word

GET READY FOR VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL
June 21 - 25
Its time to start planning for Vacation Bible School (VBS.) Enrollment will be
offered to all of our Nativity children first. We will have a maximum of 32 children this
year. Since this is our first try at VBS and our space is limited, we decided to limit the
enrollment. All Nativity children and their friends are invited to sign up now.
The age range for our VBS is 2 years old -10 years old. All of our members that are
over 10 years of age are invited to sign up as helpers. Just fill out the registration
form and indicate that you will be a helper. Registration will be from April 25 through
May 2. We also need adult helpers. Please let June Hanley, Doris Stinebert or Gussie
Haeffner know if you can help -it could be for one day or more - we need many adults to
help make this VBS successful.
The cost for VBS is as follows: $8.00 for the first child in a family and $5.00 for
siblings. A snack will be provided daily.
Please turn in your registration form to Joanne Marino in the two-year-old Sunday
School class or Elly in the office. For more information regarding VBS, please call Joanne
Marino at 358-1112.

Planning for 1999 Vacation Bible School
Church of the Nativity wants to have a Vacation Bible School this summer. We would like
to hold it the week after school ends in June, 1999. To that end, we need to start
preparing now.
Anyone who thinks that they could contribute time to either the preparation or teaching
that week is welcome to become involved. There is a lot of work in preparing for Vacation
Bible School and since Nativity has never done this before, we would like to start now.
Please call Joanne Bednarsh at 358-1112 if you can help. The kids need us to be well
prepared if this project is to be successful.
