Nativity Search Process

The following is an update for your information regarding the process for bringing a new priest to God's Church of the Nativity:

Thank you for your feedback on the Requirements Profile." This work of yours will be used by our "Nativity Search Committe" to assist them through the Candidate review process. We, the Vestry, are pelased to announce the Committee: Ros Hall, Irene Wernick, Anita Williams, Raymond Kow and Bill Stemple. They have all joyfully accepted their responsibility to God and His Church of the Nativity.

Assisting this committee will be Dick Gerhart who has been appointed "Clergy Compensationa nd Benefits and Search Costs" Chairperson. This appointment will allow the Search Committe to initually focus entirely on the "preistly" leadership qualities. Also assisting will be Rich Cooper as the liaison/contact point between the Search Committee, Candidates and the Bishop's office. Both Dick and Rich will not be direct members of the Search Committe be will provide all necessary support to them.

The Nativity Search Committee received training in the Process Work on April 16 by the Rev. Michael Durning, Canon to the Ordinary, of the Bishop's office. The committee will be reviewing Candidate Profiles. The goal of the committee is to bring a Priest to Nativity who meets all the requirements of Nativity. The search will take whatever time is required to achieve this goal.

Our Lord and Savior is guiding and caring for Nativity as we proceed through this beautiful process. Your prayers, encouragement, and support are greatly appreciated. Our Lord truly Lives and Reigns at Nativity.
