(from July newsletter) Thanks to Elizabeth Alee, the
crafty ladies have made a realm of angels to sell at the Fall Fest. Frances Cox has
hand-crafted some fabulous hot pads.
Jean White is making the most fashionable purses you'll ever see. Irene
Wernick has been crocheting "scrubbies" with her loving hands.
Irene and her friend, Millie, have created earrings from buttons and they
are "cute as a button." Sheryl Cutrona helped a group create stenciled goodies.
Lois Johnson has sewn the most adorable little vests (and some for bigger
sisters and Moms, too) in seasonal fabrics. Word has it that Veronica Cooper is
crafting more pillows at home and Margaret Morey is sewing away while up north this
summer.
Marguerite Hatfield found sled making a challenge and Mary Gordon is hard
at work on some gorgeous painted wooden items. Many others have jumped in with helping
hands and loving hearts.
We'll continue to meet most Wednesdays this summer at 10 or 10:30. There are some fun
crafts yet to be done. Call Nicki Coffaro or Jean White if you have any
questions. For "day ladies," we will be meeting at the church on Wednesdays at
10:00 AM.
Call Jean White (351-8990) or Nickie Coffaro (355-7615) for further
information. Ladies, invite men you know to make crafts for us, too.
