| (from September newsletter) Be sure to mark
your calendars and save this day, October 23, for Nativitys Flea Market-Fun-Food
& Crafts FALL FEST. In a limited fashion, we are "going public" and will be
inviting the public via neighborhood newsletters, posters and the East County Observer.
This event will be our largest fund-raiser for 1999 benefiting our Building Fund, as well
as a community cause or two.
If you havent had a chance to participate yet, fear not!
Ill get you yet! Seriously, there is lots of work yet to be done. I could use
volunteers to:
 | drive donations to a nearby parishioners garage after church on Sundays in
September and October. |
 | purchase soda and snacks from Sams Club to sell at FALL FEST (the church has a
tax-exempt document you can use.) |
 | call and remind workers which shift they will be helping with on the 23rd. |
 | build display racks/boards for all sorts of items we are selling. Who is
handy?" (Even old trellises will work well!) |
Review the "Wanted" insert in this issue and bring your
donations on Sundays between September 5 and October 18 inclusive. If you prefer, you may
drive your items directly to Lois Johnsons home (in nearby Palm Aire). Please
call her at 351-2003. This effort on your part will save us some effort on our part.
The Crafty Ladies will have a project to do on Wednesday,
September 8 at 10:00 AM. Join us at that time. We will catch up on our summer tales while
we create childrens cloth books. If you have a project or craft for FALL FEST, bring
it along.
