Its great to see more familiar faces each Sunday as our
"Snow Angels" begin to return And to every new woman coming to Nativity, we
invite you to come to all Episcopal Church Women events.
All women should have received a separate mailing of the 1999-2000 ECW
calendar. We hope you will look forward to the scheduled activities and join us. Please
feel free to ask a friend, family member or neighbor to any of our functions; the more the
merrier. Also, if you haven't received a calendar or if you need a ride, dont
hesitate to call either Irene Wernick, 351-0827, or Nicki Coffaro 355-7165.
OCTOBER EVENTS
Tuesday, October 12, 6:30 PM
A Dessert and FALL FEST Finish-Up will be held at the church. We will
be concluding any crafts and finalizing plans for the Building Fund Fund-raiser, FALL FEST
which will be held on Saturday, October 23. We will need your help so please come.
Tuesday, October 19, 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM
A program, "ECW Experience," will be held at DaySpring for
all ECW women.This event is always inspiring with a meaningful program and dynamic
speakers. DaySpring provides a beautiful setting for this program. Sign up early. We will
carpool from Nativity.
Saturday, October 23, 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM
We hope everyone has signed up for a "shift." Be sure
to leave yourself time to shop and to have fun, also! Tell your neighbors, friends and
family, too and dont forget to bring the children.
NOVEMBER EVENTS

The UTO Ingathering will be held at both services.
Tuesday, November 9, 7:00 PM
"Sister to Sister" will present "The Innkeepers Wife of
Bethlehem." If you have ever seen Dee Terjesen performing, you know what a
terrific actress she is and how hilariously entertaining, yet meaningful, her Biblical
characterizations are. If you havent seen her, you must save this evening. Invite a
friend, too. This program will be too good to miss.
OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD SHOE BOXES will be collected
around November 18. We have participated in this Samaritans Purse Worldwide Project
before and we know how gratifying it is to know these shoe boxes will be delivered to
children around the world and we sure have fun shopping! Please watch for more details.
Sunday, November 28, 8:30 AM & 10:30 AM
BAKELESS BAKE SALE. We women need a break after all the Thanksgiving
cooking, so this bake sale is perfect. Please just donate to the "Decorated
Cake" and help kick off our Adopt-A-Family project. We will be raising funds to help
a needy Sarasota family at Christmas. So, save calories and donate generously.
Can you believe it is time to talk about September
dates? My summer flew by in a flurry of hot, stormy, wonderful summer days here in
Sarasota. Wherever you were, I hope that your summer was a great one. Your expanded ECW
Board welcomes you back and invites you to participate in our 1999-2000 lineup of events
and programs.

Monday, September 20 Some of the ECW officers will be
attending a Deanery meeting at Christ Church in Bradenton.
Tuesday, September 21, 7:00 PM ECW Meeting with
Evening Prayer. Vicki Thomas will recount her recent missionary trip to the Ukraine. She
is very dynamic and you wont want to miss her. Vicky is a long time, good friend of
Fr. Jim and Sharon.
Tuesday, October 19, 9:00 AM A program, "ECW
Experience," will be held at DaySpring for all ECW women.This day is always
inspirational at our beautiful Dayspring. Watch for sign up, carpool and other details.
We may have a special get together in October if FALL FEST needs our
help. Watch for the October Nativity Tidings.
At a luncheon at Bradenton Country Club on July 31 for ECW
Presidents hosted by Wylene Graham, it was announced that Lois Johnson is the
Manasota Deanery UTO representative. Congratulations, Lois! Dorothy Wallace is
Nativitys UTO representative.
