Church Periodical Club:
National Books Fund and
Miles of Pennies Fund
Supporting the outreach of the Church Periodical Club (CPC), an independent
affiliated organization of the Episcopal Church, is a way to spread the wisdom that leads
to righteousness! CPC depends entirely on voluntary contributions to carry out its
ministry of the printed word.
The National Books Fund awards grants to hospitals, libraries, schools,
seminarians, college students, prisons, drug abuse centers, retirement homes,
seafarer’s institutes, and companion dioceses.
The Miles of Pennies Fund (MOP) grants awards to children’s facilities.
Those grants promote literacy and provide Christian literature to underprivileged
youngsters in the United States and throughout the world. The largest award is equal to
one mile of pennies: $844.80. The Diocese of Southwest Florida has contributed nearly
nineteen miles of pennies and lead the Diocese of Los Angeles in M.O.P. donations.
