Read Any Good Books Lately?

... I hope so, and I hope you’re saving the ones you’ve finished to contribute to our book sale in the new year. We’ll take all kinds, as long as they’re reasonably clean and of good content. The monies we get will be used to help provide grants for a variety of needs across our country and beyond. For instance, here’s an interesting grant given last fall in Tennessee: $1,100 for prayer books for a Korean Assembly of God congregation that is becoming an Episcopal parish and its pastor is being ordained a priest. Wow!

Praise God that we are able to purchase books and magazines and are taught how to read them!

Don’t know what to do with that magazine you’ve just finished? You can put it in the basket on the floor under the table on the wall in the Fellowship Hall. Then one of our Nativity angels will whisk the new magazines over to the Life Care Center where folks there will happily enjoy your used magazines. Thank you angel Carolyn!

So, keep those used books in a safe place until next year and recycle those magazines. Thanks much!
