The man who walks in the dark
does not know where he is going.
John 12:35
At some time in our past, we at Nativity became aware of Jesus lighting up
our lives and the world. We are blessed with a plethora of materials to expand our
knowledge and understanding of that glorious light: Bibles, prayer books, hymnals, books
magazines, commentaries, study guides, tapes and videos; places where materials are
available: churches, Christian book stores and libraries; and people: fellow Christians,
mentors, preachers and study groups. However, throughout the United States and the world,
many people without the light of Christ have no idea where they are going. Others perceive
the light, yet hunger for more precise direction for living in and reflecting that light.
CPC fills the void in such lives by awarding grants to institutions and individuals who
have limited financial resources. Some grants are used to help the illiterate learn to
read and in time to peruse Christian publications. Others are given to literate students
for aids to their growth and understanding of the Christian walk. NBF grants are for
people nineteen years of age and up. MOP funds are for children between the ages of five
and eighteen. Please continue to drop your pennies in the red basket in the narthex marked
MOP. Those pennies will be transformed by CPC to brighten the path of many who now walk in
the dark.
