(From May 2000 Nativity newsletter) May God be gracious to us and bless us and make His face to shine upon us, that Your ways may be known on earth, Your salvation among all nations. Psalm 67:1-2God has certainly been gracious to us and blessed our nation as well as our church family. Blessed in so many ways were we to start enumerating them, we would go on ad infinitum. Receiving such graciousness obligates us to share the Good News; God the Father commands us to follow his one and only Son to make his salvation known on earth. Because the Psalmist says "May GOD be gracious. . ., that YOUR ways may be known . . ." His prayer must be that God the Father bless us so that God the Son's ways become known. And what are the Son's ways, but to lead all people in the way of truth and salvation. Acknowledging the wisdom of Psalm 67: 1-2, CPC has established the National Books Fund and the Miles of Pennies Fund to bring the living presence and love of God deeper into the lives of those they touch. CPC's monetary gifts are given to people of all nations and creeds, always with the fixed purpose of being fishers of men. You will be pleased to hear that the Peacheys, who visited Nativity on a Sunday not long ago, were given information about CPC, NBF, and MOP at that time. John spoke about his life, his anticipated move to Tanzania, the people of that country and their great need for a new school and library. An application for MOP funding for library books was secured and forwarded to John and he is, presently, in the process of making a list of all books desired and complying with all other requirements for receiving a grant. I am sure that John prays in the spirit of Psalm 67:1-2. Let us join him in prayer and in his missionary zeal, setting aside small change for MOP, heeding the command to make Jesus' salvation known among nations.
