The beauty and implications of these verses draw me back
to them again and again, for they warm the heart and comfort the weary. In guiding the
psalmists hand, the Holy Spirit expressed a deep yearning for all men to know the Lord
intimately to feel his love in the depths of their being. Meditating on these words moves
us to praise; the Lord provides means and opportunities.
Supporting the work of CPC is one of many forms our praise takes; CPC
grants enrich lives through the written word. The NBF benefits adults making worthwhile
literature available to students, missionaries, churches and many others who need
financial aid to pursue their life's work. MOP caters exclusively to children preschool
through grade twelve. Awards for books, tapes and Bible stories help children learn to
read, expand their knowledge, implement wise decisions and to know God's grace. to make
room for him in their hearts and to praise and thank Him.
Through CPC grants, not only people in the far away places, but also
friends close to home bless God for his goodness. As a seminarian, Father Jim received NBF
aid; recently, one of Nativity's college students was helped with CPC funds, and another
of our students has applied for an award.
As instruments of praise, the people of the Diocese of Southwest
Florida have promoted awareness of God's presence giving nearly twenty three miles of
pennies (23 x $844.80) to MOP. Surely contributions to NBF and MOP satisfy the longing
soul and fill the hungry soul with goodness.
