National Books Fund and Miles of Pennies Fund

I gave them the words you gave me ... and they believed that you sent me .... My prayer is not for them alone .... I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message.... so that the world may believe that you sent me.
John 17:8, 20. 21

Knowing that Jesus prayed so fervently for us to spread the Good News, we respond - inspired, motivated and enabled by His Holy Spirit. The Miles of Pennies Fund and the National Books Fund exist solely to carry the message of salvation to people near and far. By whatever communicative means we can devise under His guidance -books, magazines, journals, videos, tapes, pamphlets, hymnals, aids to literacy -Jesus prays that the world will believe through our message. With such powerful support, we give the CPC our prayers and our gifts. From February 1, 1998 to March 1, 1999, Church of the Nativity gave over six hundred ninety -six dollars to CPC. Included in that sum were two CPC Sundays and all the pennies collected. Now, remembering Jesus' prayer for us, let's continue to pray and give so that the world may believe.

Keep in mind that next year we will again have a book sale for four weeks before CPC Sunday. Please set aside any books you acquire, enjoy and would like to share for that event.
