Advent Lessons and Carols

You are invited to a very special service of Advent Lessons and Carols on Sunday, December 21 at 9:00 am. The choir, handchimes choir, and children will be participating in this service, as well as the beloved hymns of Advent being sung by the congregation. This year we will have a parish brunch in the Fellowship Hall after the service.

And don't forget that we will have our pre-service Christmas music presentation before the Christmas Eve services on Deember 24 — so plan to come early and join in the singing!

Your Hymn Requests

The hymn/psalm requests are in. We have a very diverse congreation here — hymns from any number of sources other tan our hymnal were represented, which seems to indicate that we as a congregation are not hesitant to venture into other church music traditions. There were several requests for Onward Christian Soldiers, Morning Has Broken, All Things Bright and Beautiful, Turn Your Eyes Upon Jesus, and Living for Jesus. And about 30 other hymns were requested. We'll do our best to program these into the service music over the course of the next year ... thanks to all who submitted their favorites!
