Benefit Concert

A choral group was formed last fall in Sarasota specifically for the purpose of presenting a benefit concert in April for the NAACP. I am singing with that chorus and wanted to pass the information about the concert along to you. It will be a wonderful event. A great portion of the program will be sacred classics in various styles — from the classic When I Survey The Wondrous Cross to the equally classic Precious Lord, Take My Hand. There are several soloists, instrumental as well as vocal.

  The group is conducted by Dr. Carroll Buchanan who recently went to Vienna with the New York based Carr Hill Singers which he has conducted for many years.

  Dr. Buchanan and the trip were the subject of a Sarasota Herald Tribune article several months ago.

  The evening will be full of many familiar songs so plan to attend if you can; the particulars are:
