Required Training for all Who Work with Children
On Thursday evening, June
24th 2004, Rev. Deb Blackwood and Rev. Allan Rogers provided misconduct
prevention training for the vestry and other members of Church of the Nativity.
The program, entitled
Safeguarding
God's Children,
replaces the following two former programs:
Sexual Abuse
and
Child Sexual
Abuse Recognition.
The program provides
participants with the information they need to protect the children they know
and care for in their personal lives and in the ministries in which they serve.
It is based on the philosophy that if every adult can protect just one child,
they will forever
change
one life.
