a parenting course
Are you reinventing the wheel when it comes to parenting?

give me enough grace to make it through today — never mind the next week or
year?" Have you wished for a sensible, faithful, and comprehensive program to help
you and your child successfully navigate the journey from infancy to the teen years?
If you have answered yes to any of the above questions or others like
them, we have some good news for you. Your wait is over. Help and guidance are available
just over the horizon at Nativity. We speak specifically of the Growing Kids God's Way
program. We have found GKGW to be enormously helpful in aiding us to raise our daughter.
The wheel doesn't need to be reinvented — the blueprints are here and they're founded
on the bedrock of God's Word.
GKGW is a program that offers practical wisdom that can not only help
parents understand the time honored principles of Christian based child-rearing but how to
apply them, why to apply them, and when to apply them, GKGW gives today's parents the
tools we hunger for while taking the mystery out of what to do and how to do it.
The Growing Kid's God's Way course consists of an 18 week study that
includes video presentations, study guides, and group discussions. We will cover subjects
such as: Character Development, Principles of Obedience, Consequences, Discipline and
Punishment, Your Child's Conscience, and Building a Healthy Family, and many more. The
course will begin on Thursday October 5th in our home at 7 PM. It will continue on
subsequent Thursdays, with breaks for holidays.
We, Sharon and Jim Murphy, are excited to have the opportunity to share
the Principles and the resources that have brought our family both peace of mind and
satisfying, tangible results. Our hope is that a maximum number of you (space will be
limited to 10 people) will take advantage of this opportunity to learn more about raising
a generation of children who are a pleasure for us and a blessing to our Almighty Father.

Something for You
Growing Kids God's Way is coming to Nativity. That's right, an
introductory seminar will be visiting Nativity on Tuesday evening, March 28th, at 7:00 PM.
Growing Kids God's Way is a practical, biblically oriented program that offers great tips,
aids, and information to help guide parents in the great and awesome responsibility they
have been given. Your Pastor and Sharon can vouch for GKGW's effectiveness. It is an
international program that has been honed and tested for over a decade. Mark your
calendars now to come and see if this is a program that Nativity should offer to help you
and others like you. It is designed for parents who have children ranging in age from 1 to
16. Watch for more details.

Congratulations to Michael and Nora Abraham for successfully
completing the “Preparation for the Toddler Years” course, a part of GROWING
KIDS GOD’S WAY. Our congratulations are also extended to Joanne Marino for the
completion of “Preparation For the Toddler Years.” Joanne took the course to be
better equipped to work with and train our little ones in Sunday School.
Our Lord is truly blessed by these members of our Nativity
family who are committed to raising children in the ways that He has commanded - to love,
serve and obey our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Well done, good and faithful servants.
